Vomit smell on seats

Last Friday whilst driving quite fast (~120km/h), a passenger of mine got sick out the window and unfortunately it all blew back into the car, and as a result there was vomit sprayed around much of the interior including the doors, 3 of the seats and the roof.

I have removed all of the solid vomit left over however there is still quite a bad smell in the car (and the hot weather isn't helping). Is there any way of removing this smell or else would anyone be able to advise a reasonably cheap place to get it valeted in the Cork/Kerry/Limerick area?

To be honest I would've laughed a lot more if it wasn't my car and there wasn't so much cleaning involved. There was an awful look on my face when I felt a few drops hit the side of my face and looked over to see most of the car dripping

If I sprayed all over the inside of someones car I would be apologising profusely and offering to pay for a professional cleaner.

He has offered to pay to get it cleaned, however I have most of the cleaning done myself (it happened in the middle of the night so I cleaned it off straight away when I went home cos I didn't want to be leaving it there)

I just wondered if there was an easy way to do it at home rather than having to travel to get it cleaned (live fairly far from anywhere it could be valeted)

There is a product in pet shop that breaks down pet urine. Maybe something similar will work for your issue.

Apparently either bread soda or baking soda mixed with water is good for neutralising that smell. Air fresheners are the last thing I'd use - you'll need so much that the smell of them would make you sick. But I think I'd personally take a carpet shampooing vacuum cleaner to it.

What you need is an enzyme cleaner.

MX Valeting use this and are located in Limerick. JAMES VTI S on here.

I've successfully used Dettox anti-bacterial spray to kill the bacteria causing the smell. There is a risk that it will mark cloth so try it on an inconspicuous piece of the seats first.

I vomited on the door of a friends car yesterday. Got a small bit on the fabric insert in the door card and used carpet mousse. To be fair it was cleaned with 5 minutes of me puking but it seemed to have worked.

If it was me I would get a valet shampoo foam ( like Simoniz or some good brand) and a nail brush at it.

Hoover it first, then scrub thoroughly with a nail brush with the foam on fairly heavy and let it dry and hoover again. It took the smell out of my car when my dog got travel sick on the carpet in the back. Don't forget to pull up the seats and do the edges and under the seat maybe as well.

For the plastic use deluded all purpose on the plastic and then use turtle wax ice or something to restore the shine.

Get your valet place to shampoo and scrub the affected areas then wet vac.

Tell them not to cover the car in sprays trying to mask the smell.

Spread bicarbonate of soda to soak up the smell, leave for 24hours and hoover off.

Larger bags of it can be bought online, rather than the supermarket
