    What's the latest on bringing some rashers/tea bags over to the USA?

    Do they still sell approved galtee products in duty free?

    Teabags are fine

    Sausages/rashers....not so much. No meat can be bought in legally. There are some that say vacuum pack it and "you'll be grand" but....you won't be if you're caught - and the fines are not worth it

    Full details are at this website, click on the link on the right 'Generally Allowed Food and Agricultural Items by Category'

    http://www.aphis.usda.gov/wps/portal/aphis/resources/travelers-int

    General rule on meats....

    Fresh (chilled or frozen), dried, cured, and fully cooked meat is generally prohibited from most countries. Canned meat is allowed entry, except beef, veal, lamb, mutton, venison, elk, bison, etc., from countries affected by bovine spongiform encephalopathy.

    You must declare all food products....

    ====================================

    Remember, you must declare all food and agricultural products, including those listed above, to a CBP agriculture specialist or officer when you arrive in the United States.

    ====================================

    'When you arrive in the United States' obviously doesn't allow for pre-clearance so you'll need to declare the tea bags in Dublin.
