Neighbour with mental health issues

Going unreg and not giving any revealing details but...

I have a male neighbour in his 40s who lives with elderly parents.

He has taken to name calling, threatening & racial slurs on some neighbours. Constantly giving angry glares.

Older neighbours talk of him having "mental health issues".

I think his parents are too old to deal with it and there's no other family around.

It's getting worse - is there anyone I can report him to that might be able to help him before he gets worse?

If it's a council house report it to the council as unsociable Behaviour, if it's a private residence I can't offer any help really, sorry

If it is a Council house report it to the Council as anti social behavior. If he has made threats to you, you could report it to the Gardai.

AFAIK there's not a lot you can do unless he starts actually threatening people.

For a number of years I lived in an apartment that was across the road from a row of houses on a busy road and on warm days, a sole occupant in his 30s, used to sit outside on a chair with a load of cans shouting abuse at every single passerby. I mean words that would make you go red to your roots. He was obviously quite unwell but wasn't doing any harm bar being offensive.

This sounds similar and unless it's a council house I'd just try my best to ignore him.

Regardless of what house it is, private , council or squatter. Report it to the Gaurds as a first point.

His mental health from what I can see from the post is only speculative.
Just be sensible about the matter
