Look Keo Blades - squeak

    I'm using these pedals for approx 500 kms now, but when I apply pressure there is a noise/squeak. I am pretty sure its not a loose cleat, left one is fine but right one not. Anyone got a solution to fix it? Thanks.

    Had this problem myself, put a section of old inner tube under the cleat. Cut it in the shape of the cleat, hey presto

    Timely thread. I'm using blades and have an infuriating creak coming from every left pedal stroke. @J Mad: You put tube between cleat and shoe?

    Snap. Mirror image anyway, mine is on the right. Also Keo Blades.

    I was planning to try something I seen on GCN (think it was one of the pro bike videos) where there was a piece of (grip?) tape on the metal part of pedal surface. Was going to have a search for it again to see if they mentioned what type of tape it was. The inner tube section sounds like another alternative, let us know how you get on.

    just rubbing the main body of the pedal where the cleat makes contact- with a little vaseline works too..
    that said you need to do it every few spins
    look make great pedals clip in/out wise but jesus they have their flaws..
    since starting to use keos originally ive had bearing trouble...excessive cleat wear ( to me anyway)and lastly this creak..
    in the same period of time the other halfs been using dura ace on pedals on her bike-
    no noise - small wear on cleats and no bearing issue!

    that said..
    i like the look of them and the fact that they go on any groupset without conflict....
    no shim sham on my campy bike!!

    Yep, remove cleat and cut it to rough shape of cleat. Put a couple of holes matching the screw holes position. Screw it back together, no squeak
