Drove a transit for four years and always found them very agricultural.

Drove a friends recently and it had changed little.

Engines are noisy and sluggish. Guy that works for me bought a '10 transit and moved it on in three weeks as he couldn't listen to it and was thirsty too.

Check out the gearbox with the primastar, they are a nice drive but some models had gearbox problems. Any lads I know driving them like them, even long journeys are comfortable.

I had a 2014 transit on loan from a friend there for about a month last year as he was out of the country and I had to move a lot of equipment.

Loaded she was doing less than 30 mpg (bear in mind there was lots of agricultural equipment in the back so I was probably pushing the DGVW) and empty returned about 40. Low spec, everything feels plasticy and there was no creature comforts. Oh and the seats were very uncomfortable even compared to my Orion.

I'd rather a transit. Looks better than a primaster imo. We have and had a lot of transits in the family. Didn't drive them much at all, but they were fairly comfortable, fairly trouble free, and are fairly ok on diesel. The smaller they are, obviously the livelier they are. There is a noticeable torque difference between driving a standard transit, with a lwb double axle one, as I'd imagine there is with the small swb low roof ones.
