Music general study help!

We never did General study or question 10 in our music class! what am I meant to do? what song am I supposed to use? if you have any notes I can use could you leave them below please? I'm doing highher level! Thanks

Okay so general study is basically where you choose a genre of music (eg classical, pop) and then a composer/artist from that genre and examine their work from three different perspectives.

For example, when I did Music last year for JC, we looked at the music of the Beatles from the perspectives of rhythm, instruments and melody. I threw out all my Music notes from last year (typical :rolleyes: ) but maybe have a look in your Music textbook/online for more guidance on the General Study. From what I can remember it's a fairly handy question- just learning off and regurgitating the information in the exam.

3 features with explanation

2. Pátrún cordúl na Gormach 12 bharra
Tháining na gormacha ó meascán daoine a bhí ina gcónaí i SAM (sclábhaí ón Fhrainc, Afraic, Spáinn). Tá nótaí gorma (brónach) sa cheol a tháining ó na hamhrán brónacha a chán na sclábhaí. Déantar an pátrún sin a sheinnt arís agus arís eile agus tobchumadh ar siúl ag ceoltóirí aonar.

3. Tobchumadh
Is éard is bhrí le tobchumadh ná ag cumadh ceol ar an spota. Cloisim tobchumadh san amhrán 'Take the a train'. Seinnter an patrún cordúil na gormacha 12 bharra agus cloisim tobchumadh ó na huirlisí aonar ar nós an trumpa.

Thanks a million! So is it just 2 songs & 3 features we need to know? Our music teacher is useless! I wouldn't even have known general study was a question unless I looked at past papers!

Know the category of the music as well.
