Last one for me, I prefer no sunglasses. It's got a nice dof, well composed and I like the expression-seems more natural than the others!

I can't see a no.2. I would be leaning towards the first only for the reason that it looks less 'posed'. No. 5 is actually better in my opinion, but the portrait is out of context for the theme (ie, there is no indication that it is nautical related).

For me my first choice was No.1 and then No.5.
No 1 because it had the lobster pots in the background to help fit with the theme.
No.5 i like the natural feel to the pose. Was hoping to get away with the aran jumper and fisher mans hat for the theme?

Sorry had my numbers mixed up, all ok now.

I definitely think it screams nautical with just the hat and jumper!

234 out because of the sunglasses,so 1 followed by 5

    No. 2 for me.
Doesn't look posed and you can nearly make a connection with the "nautical" theme.

1 - 3 look too much like a knitwear advert to me.

4 has the sunglasses which do not suit the image.

    That leaves 5.

It would have to be number 5 for me,
    1. I don't think that colour really suits this image
    2. Feels a bit disconnected, like there is no engagement with the subject
3+4 I dont really like the sunglasses
    5. Very nice with good interaction with the subjects eyes, I really like it.

    For me - #1.

All the rest are way over sharpened for my liking. If you hadn't have posted #1 and I had to choose from the rest then i'd of gone for the last which appears less sharpened than the others.

    just my two cents worth

2 or 5. 2 would have been my top one if he didn't have the glasses on.

No 5 I think. No glasses and good eye contact.

    No 1 or 5.

I would agree with some of the previous posts that a softer look may be more pleasing. Nice photo's thanks for sharing.

I like 5 as well. A bit like you were wandering down the harbour and happened to press click at the right moment. Tonally, etc.

Well last night was the official opening of the 30th Kilmore Quay Seafood festival.

Delighted to say that my image of Christy got 1st place in the advanced category Wexford Camera club photographic Exhibition.

I decided to enter shot number 5 after.

    Thanks for your help.

    Stephen.

    That's great, super shot!

Interesting to read how you process shots using the selective hdr mask.
    Congratulations :)
