    Hi

Does anyone have any suggestions or resources for match betting a bookmaker money back special if your selection finishes 2nd or 3rd?

I'm trying to figure a way of profiting from it, if its even possible.

    Lay the whole place market?
    Thoughts?

basically if the price you back is close to the exchange market, you can lay either the win or the place and have positive outcome if he places or wins.

    back win at bookie
lay place at betdaq or smarkets ( less commission than betfair).

horse wins. w at bookie, loss at betdaq on places, up over all.
horse comes 2nd. stake back, loss on places. loss over all. ( if you laid the win you could partially cover this)
horse doesn't come anywhere loss at bookie, win on exchange up overall.

obviously you need short price odds to cover the bookie stake and profit when he wins.
bad outcome is coming 2nd or 3rd. could lay part of the win and part of the stake if you wanted to.

you can set it up so the most likely event is green, and bad outcome is a small loss.
    all depends on odds.

Both Boyles and PP (I assume these are who you are talking about) are money back if 2nd or 3rd in 2 races each day this week but it's as a Free Bet so not only would you would lose on the difference in prices, you would only get a Free Bet which must be placed on a winner at evens or better to get at least your bookie stake back.

Also note Paddy Power are max refund €50, Boyles are €25.
