For those of us that use quasi industrial amounts of sugar making jams & conserves: I found a 99c store offering 6kg of sugar for E5 today. ( Not sure if its good in all 99c stores )

1.4kg for €1.19, which is 85cent per kilo.

the 6kg €5 offer is 83cent per kilo.

Own brand caster sugar is current cheaper than granulated in tesco & aldi. Caster is just finer and dissolves easier, some posters in other threads thought it was quite a different thing.
