Renewing for a third provisional lience

Hi peeps I've a full lience for the car but I've a lience for a motorcycle but it's the provisional. My motorcycle lience rang out two years ago and I didn't get the chance to renew it so I'm must get it done now. I heard that you can't get a third renewal without doing your driving test, is that true?

You need to have evidence that you've applied for your driving test

I recently applied for the CE provisional, I had two provisional's before hand but had to revert to a '991' (first licence) as I never did a test. i have to wait 6 months before applying for a test now.
