Daytime on RTE One

    90% of the output on RTE one daytime is repeats, they have even started repeating the today show in its regular slot. I think they should try an new home produced quiz show or game show in the daytime and also import one or two american soaps.

    Grand Designs was a great purchase -missed alot of episodes so I can watch them now and with Upc on demand -no ads -heaven.

    RTE normally lean heavily on repeats for the whole summer.

    Most schedules across UK and Ireland rely heavily on repeats to get them through the summer. It's a pity though, as RTE1 could use it to show some new programming from the US/Canada/Australia that are sometimes tucked away after midnight or not shown at all here.

    Don't forget they also show a repeat of Saturday Night With Miriam on Tuesday nights ahead of The Good Wife which results in it being pushed out to 11.30 and beyond, pure crazy.

    -It's a bit off topic but yes I totally agree - a crazy decision and RTE News Now is also a total disgrace.
