Did anyone that had Setanta get a mail recently from the Liquidator? Got when there during the week inviting me or having someone be my proxy at the creditors meeting, only thing is, its in Malta!

Not really worth the cost of flying to Malta for 500 odd euro I'll never see, so is there anything I need to do, as in call my broker to see if I am entitled to any money?

If you had a policy with them and there was some time left to run on it before they folded, you would be a creditor of the company because in theory you are entitled to a pro rata refund for the unexpired period of insurance cover that you lost but I suspect you are close to the bottom of the priority list so I wouldn't be expecting any refunds.

By all means call your broker and ask if there's any money on the way but realistically there isn't.

I got the letter as I lost my policy six months into the policy, did a chargeback on my Debit Card against the Insurance Broker who I was insured with for half the value of my policy as I did get six months of coverage, received back half the value of the policy so I wasn't out of pocket by the whole thing. I stick to too big to fail companies now instead.
