Hi all, I have 3 bicycles that need a good once over (well just gears and brakes really). Instead of paying Halfords over €30 each for the privilege is there anywhere else that would do me a better deal to do the lot?! Thank you

90 quid for a full service of three bikes is pretty good value imo, tho in the long run you might get better service and a better deal and advice from a relationship built up with a local bike shop

€30 seems to be standard , keep an eye on groupon they have deals now and again for bike services

You could try Full Cycle in Mulhuddart

the €30 wouldnt be expense generally
    however..
€30 in a good LBS will almost certainly guarantee the work of an experienced mechanic..
halfords with all due respect cant promise you that.
some shops may have decent bike dept. staff but others dont.

I've given up on Full Cycle. Used them for a few things and been left frustrated every time.

+1 for Cyclezone if you're out in D15. Great shop.

Had one of them done at Cyclezone. Very happy with the work, would recommend and will use again myself. Thanks all

+1 for checking out some GCN videos and having a go yourself.

at the end of the day, bikes are fairly straighforward machines and you'll learn a lot about how they work by doing the work yourself.

oh, as an addendum to the above, of course don't attempt anything you're not comfortable or confident about...

and don't cut corners with brakes etc.
