LED replacement question

My wife is driving a Renault Laguna 3. Grand car so far. Today I noticed that one of the rear led strips is blank. Its the passenger side one, on the boot itself. Are these replaceable, or is it a new unit required?

Few pictures attached. I tried to open it up but access needs some weird 3 prong screw driver.

It's more likely to be a problem with the supply or earth rather than an actual failure of the LEDs.

The housing has water in it, so was thinking along those lines alright. Its a pain in the hole though as there is an NCT booked for it next Friday

Don't fret about the NCT if you don't get the tail lamp sorted . If that's all the car fails on you'll only need to do a very brief visual retest which will free if booked within 21 days and done within 30 days.

That looks like a tri-point or tri-wing tamper resistant screw, you can buy driver bit sets such as this in many hardware shops / motor factors.
