    Hello All
I require to seal the edges of a plywood box which will be out doors. It's 18mm WPB . I know it would have been better to use marine ply but , had to use what was lieing around.
I was thinking about some sort of epoxy paint maybe??

Does finish matter? You could stand each edge (if it's not already assembled) in wood preservative then coat the faces...

I don't thinkl that's a great idea, would the solvents in the wood preservative (Protim/ Cuprinol/ Panabond etc) not break down the adhesive holding the ply layers together? Seal any edges with a thinned down coat or three of polyurethane varnish, which at the very least will help to prevent the plies taking up water or "wicking" as it is sometimes called.

I would get some strips of Iroko to match the edge thickness and glue them on with polyurethane glue which will foam up and is waterproof. Finish with a preservative of your choice.
