    Hi guys,
just got a new shower with standard shower head
    (upstairs shower)

I would need a pump (for shower only, no tap)

I called few places and I ve been told from 1 place that brass are better toys (clearly cost nearly double the money.. ie Monsoon 2.0 Stuart turner)
Another place tells me that for shower only brass insn't required and the plastic will do fine (ie Salamander ct75 shower pump 2.1 bar)

I m one of those that look at the cost spread over 10 years.. so.. I m trying to understand if I should spend €200 ish for plastic or €4/500 ish for brass

    The plastic can warp
    Brass will never warp.
    Brass is far better.
Don't take advice from a plumber unless they also repair pumps otherwise they have very little knowledge on what pumps fail the most and what parts fail the most. A guy that just fits pumps might say plastic is fine but someone that specializes in pump repair will tell you to go for the brass.
There are plenty of companies in Dublin that only do pumps. Give some of these a buzz for their advice. You can still get your own plumber to fit it if you prefer but you know you'll have the right pump
