I'm looking to buy a low to mid-end laptop in about the €500 price range. It will mainly be used for watching movies or web browsing, not high-end gaming or image editing or anything that would require top-end display/graphics handling.

I've come across a couple that l'm thinking about and I'd appreciate it if someone on here could tell me which they'd recommend. At the moment I'm leaning towards the Acer as it has an optical drive. Any other recommendations around this spec/price would also be appreciated!

    Acer

    Toshiba

    Thanks in advance.

The Acer has a faster hard drive and a better battery. Processor performance is similar enough in both. Nothing to worry about for the uses you've described.
