Scalded at hotel

Just looking for a bit of advice here.

A friend took me to get a spa treatment at a Dublin hotel for my birthday over the weekend. While I was having my treatment, she went to get us two coffees. She came back with two and we realised there was something wrong with them as they were very light in colour.

After my treatment I went up to the bar to get us two replacements. I was handed two cups ️with paper handles. I took the cups by the handles and as I was walking away felt one was beginning to tip. I tried to grab one by the cup itself then to prevent it from spilling and the cup was so thin that both coffees ended up all over my hands and down my chest. Two women patrons and a server saw the incident. The server asked was I ok and I told her no. The two patrons told me to run into the bathroom immediately and to run my hands underwater.
I did that for about ten minutes and the burning was near unbearable. I was hoping the staff would come after me but none did. I walked down to the spa to get help from my friend and had to run, the only relief I could get was from keeping my hands in cold running water.
I kept them under the tap for 1/2 HR and the spa called down a manager, he was very nice, gave me my money back for the coffees and that was it.
He wouldn't give me burn cream as it is an HSE rule. I was in so much pain the whole day. Even creams didn't help. It was my birthday and I had invited guests over to a bbq and had to cancel it to just close friends. I couldn't even wash myself I just sat with my hands on ice water for hours. On Monday my chest started blistering and I couldn't go to work. Manager followed up with me and told him I would go to a Dr but unfortunately could not get a shirt on and I rely on public transport. He said he was very sorry and that he "would do something nice" for me if I ever came back. That was a few days ago and I'm starting to feel like that's not good enough. The cups were an absolute joke and would no doubt fail a health and safety inspection. I'm shocked a hotel would even use them anyway! I'm angry my birthday was ruined and I was in that much pain. I still have scald marks all over my chest. I know I should have gone the Dr route but I just couldn't cope with coming in to town alone with no bra to be frank!
I also have little money and don't want to waste my time but I feel the hotel was very negligent.

Any advice would be appreciated :)
    Apologies it's so long!

OP, I'm afraid this is the extent of the advice we can give you here as per the forum charter and site rules.
