... I washed it this evening ... and its very clean, and the freehub is very loud again, just as it was when the wheels arrived in the box and it feels good ...

... however, the freehub sounds strange, so if I spin the wheel hard and while freewheeling I tilt the bike or lean to one side the rattle sounds different, I wouldnt be bothered by that but while I was holding the bike and wheel was spinning it spinned the cranks a bit and that happened when the sound of freehub was different as usual (almost as if something was loose inside, for a moment I though maybe derailer isnt adjusted but that was not the case and same thing happened when I was cleaning the chain while bike was on the stand and I would pedal backwards

the wheels have probably around 300km done, theyre zondas, so Im not sure if Im just looking for a reason to get new wheels or could there be a fault of some sort inthe freehub body?

If you turn it upside down and spin the wheel, as well as loosening the spring in the free hub, you should be able to buy a new bike and the problem will go away.

Possibly washed the lubricant out of the freehub body, take it apart if it can be and re lube

Didn't know that they're not sealed. It was a simple clean, not even with a pressure washer...
