    Looking for some guidance.

Am about to get a Focus Culebro SL 1.0, and am need a bit of guidance on sizing.

I've compared the geometry vs. my existing bike (Ridley Gladius, 2006 frame) and am trying to match up what's closest. Culebro geometry here:

    http://www.focus-bikes.com/gb/en/bikes/2015/road/performance-culebro/culebro-sl-10.html

My first thought was, the Ridley is a 58cm, therefore go for the XL (580mm seat tube).

However when I look in a bit more detail, the Ridley's top tube is approx. 563mm, while the L and XL Culebro's top tubes are 565mm and 580mm respectively.

So could I go for either? If I go with the L (560mm seat tube), does that just mean flashing a bit more seatpost to get the same height, and if I want a more aggressive riding position, get a longer stem?

Or do I go for the XL, and if I feel the position is too aggressive, swap out for a shorter stem to bring it in a bit?

    Any advice appreciated folks.

    Yours confusedly,

I personally would go for the L and get a longer stem if need be. It's easier to make a smaller bike fit you than a larger bike.

Sure enough did all the measurements in that Youtube vid and the L comes out way closer to my current set up.

    Thanks folks.

Keep in mind ridleys size big based on angles and a mixture of head tube lengths and seat tube lengths...
A large in ridley is frankly ... Huge!
Might not look like that on paper but in practice they are from my experience
