AFAIK, The owner, Graham Boylan, who financed it, pulled out leaving it in limbo. Alot of its fighters and champions have been signed by the UFC since its closure though.

It's such a shame. Ever since they introduced the various bonuses ("bounties") for certain finishes, it was must see MMA.

That and the so called cheap seats had the best views ever in the Helix.

I'm not sure that's correct that he financed it. If I remember right, they had a lot of financial backing from a Jordanian source, a Prince or a Sheik or something like that.

No doubt Boylan was the brains of the operation and the real driving force behind it. It's a real shame that he left, it'll probably never be back to where it was, if it even continues to exist at all.

Tell me about it, seen Conor beat Dave Hill from the cheap seats, probably the best view i've ever had at an MMA event, and all for what, 30 quid i think?

We were in the dearest seats which didn't have as good a view, but it WAS where Conor jumped into after we won.

After you suggested the cheap seats, I decided to go for the cheapest ones for the Helix card last year..............

I believe he will be fighting a pro Muay Thai or K1 fight next. One of the upcoming striking shows this summer.

I think its Evolve and is on the same night as Conor's fight. They will then show Conor's fight on a big screen after the fight card has ended.

But I am not 100% if that is the card Phil is on or not.
