Getting new kitchen. One shop said I couldn't put an integrated hood over a gas hob another said it is no problem.

Who is right? And if integrated is ok are there any you would recommend or what type do I need to look out for?

Oh and meant to say it is going on an internal wall if that makes any difference.

Regs say you need 600mm of clear space above gas hob, or whatever the manufacturers instructions say, usually 650mm. I have never seen an integrated hood wider than 600mm. This would limit you to a max 4 burner, as long as the timber door doesn't come inside the 650mm.
