    A slightly unfortunate word there.

Certainly some psychopaths let indulge their nasty doings.

The Whole thing was a shambles.

The IRA were an absolute Shambles. Spys in very important positions and No Rotation of these important positions.

Did the IRA knowingly let Scapaticci execute other Informers.

Are there other high Ranking Informers that have not been unveiled in Sinn Fein or Former IRA.

NO! You simply cannot be let away with this any more. it's time to nail this lie once and for all. Naysayers have gone from saying collusion "never happened", to it being a "few bad apples" and now this tripe.
The evidence is mounting higher and higher and it all points in one direction. This was British policy. Just like the reprisals of the 20s they'll deny and deny until it all comes out but every single one of these programmes, books, inquiries etc.. reveals a little more and a little more and it all points to this being deliberate British policy.

Thatcher telling the RUC to "go ahead just dont get caught" is not "some psychopaths let indulge their nasty doings," it is wholesale collusion with loyalist death squads, it is the British state using loyalist killers to terrorise the nationalist populace and do the dirty work they couldnt be seen to be doing.

The brits were not a neutral peacekeeper, they were the driving force behind the conflict and loyalist killers were as much a branch of their war machine as the RUC and British Army

"Maybe"(I would say it was) it was British Policy to let some psychopaths indulge their nasty doings.

I do not disagree with your post

Some of them must have been. Parts (if not all) of the British establishment only understand holding and increasing their position. Their moral compass is given a lot of Leeway to achieve this.
