An interesting dance music event with camping happening in Cregg's Castle, Corrandulla, County Galway between 11th - 13th September, the weekend after the Picnic. There will be a psytrance stage, reggae stage, rock and electronic stage and others too, the biggest act is Phil Hartnoll from Orbital, it is being billed as a family event with capacity for a few thousand people. This is about a thirty minute drive from Galway city.

I just asked a friend there who private messaged their Facebook page and they said it was in Wicklow, unless they're spoofing.

FFS! First Galway, then the Midlands in various places and now Wicklow, what next, Donegal?? I'm hoping to get a press pass for this, I just hope they decide where to put it on before it kicks off. :pac:

Maybe it will be like Hogwarts, you can only get to the festival via the wall at Ceannt Railway and Bus Station in Galway city. :D:D

I don't believe so - it's a bit misleading, it's "Sasha Von Thulen" - why the **** did they spread it out over two lines.

Will be going anyway, was great fun last year when it was just a 24 hour thing.

Picked up a ticket for this today, I think will be a great festival. Was at one other small festival this summer with aprox 1000 and had a great time.

Hopefully rain will hold off for that weekend!

Well it looks like a pretty sh1tty start to this, has been bucketing rain all day in Galway, had that happened last week at EP the ground would have been in a serious mess.

Dont think the wend went to plan alot of acts pulled out or didn't play when they arrived on site.

problems with communication between EC and acts, some stages didn't exist on site plus not all areas had sound systems, decks etc etc.

Wasn't there myself but just stuff i seen from mates on FB and twitter.

Yeah I was supposed to be doing a review for this with a press pass but when I contacted them on Facebook mid week there was no reply, so I'm wondering how its going down.

    Class little festival.

Is there any other similar little festivals left in the year or is that definitely it?

    <<<UPDATE ON MISSING TENT>>>
No news has come our way on the whereabouts of this beloved tent or ours. However, according to the organisers, it is our own fault and they take no responsibility for it, and so the financial loss involved lays solely on our shoulders??!! (plus we have NOT EVEN BEEN PAID for the tent for the use of the weekend!!)
This only adds to the shock of the whole situation and we are so saddened by this event.
So much heart, sweat and tears has been put into this business, to build something for our young family, why anyone thinks its ok to do something like this is beyond us.
Maybe it was a misunderstanding as someone said. But whatever happened, we really appreciate any information and it will be treated in confidence.
Please keep sharing and PM with any info at all.

the organisers seem like complete cowboys to be honest.
