    Hi All,

Can anyone recommend a red from Aldi, typically I drink Spanish or French wine but will give anything a try?

    Thanks,

French Cotes du Rhone and Pinot Noir are good value in the 6-7 euros range.

In general, you can't go wrong with their Exquisite collection if you want to branch out and try something different.

I generally drink their Rioja mid week and find it very nice.
The Argentinian Malbec is also decent.

I tend to avoid all their french wine.

Lidl have a really really really nice bottle of rosso di montalcino at the moment and I'd stock up on that :)

You can go wrong as the Valpolicella is a complete waste of money in that range. You can usually get a far superior Val in Lidl for an extra euro or so.

Their Argentinian Malbec at 8.79 is great value for money.
