    Hi

Does anyone know the repercussions of not getting the French Car Kit while driving in France? i.e. head lights deflectors, alcohol tester, etc...

Don't intend driving at night and was there a couple of year ago and got the kit but didn't get pulled once by the cops...what's the fine like if you do get caught?

    Thanks

I've also heard that these fines are payable in cash on the spot. How you do that if you dont have the cash, doesnt bear thinking about. Assuming you're on holiday, just comply and enjoy, its easier!

Check if its possible to switch the headlights on your car, on a lot of modes, there's a switch you can flick on the headlamp to switch it the other direction.

The alcohol tester in the car is no longer required.

Hi-Vis vest you can get from the RSA for free, a warning triangle you should have although if you perchance break down on the motorway don't use it, you should only use it on national roads.

One other thing, in France it's illegal to use any speed camera detection equipment, make sure you remove the speed cameras from your sat nav if using one.
