Speed cameras

    I was caught by the speeding van. I paid my fine and took the hit. I have know discovered that there is no warning sign present in the area to let you iknow you are in the zone. I see these signs in other areas. Are they mandatory?

    There is no legal requirement for a sign to be in place, warning of a speed cam zone.

    True, that said though, the GoSafe vans can only issue fines when in an approve GoSafe Zone.

    there is no legislation stating that either

    Government said that they only put vans in blackspots, that there would be signs and that they would operate in designated zones.

    Now, that's what they said, but the legislation didn't reflect that.
