    Hi,

This might sound abit stupid but I've heard that you can pick up radio channels from over 100 miles away, For example, I'm in the midlands, I can't get Spin 1038 or Spin SW, but I've heard there's a way possible to do it. I be in college in Galway for example and I'm able to pick it up.

    Thanks

Spin SW wouldn't be that far from Galway, you can get it in Clare no problem.
It's all down to what's in between you and the mast and if any local stations transmit on the same frequency.
You can get phone/tablet apps for listening to radio stations, I assume you know that anyway.

Ya I do, but I'd be an hour and a half west of Galway, is there any of radio you can buy that'll transmit I.e. Stations anywhere in the country?

    Google FM DXing

You can't do too much in a car as its moving, but on the ground you can be luckier.
