Hello, Em i'm pretty sure this is the right forum for this, if its not could you direct me to where it should be :).

I am looking for a way to get my hands on old Gardai case files. I have no specific case files in mind, i would ust be interested in looking at them and seeing if i could induce/deduce what the police did. Is there any way to get these'.

    Thanks.

    What? No. Absolutely not.

Yeah. The guards just love allowing nosey randoms to leaf through their private investigative files.

Did you try under the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow?

I'm sure there would be something in the National Archives, but from way in the past, pre Gardai.

If you are doing a PhD your course supervisor might be able to arrange something with a garda or a solicitors office. There would be strict enough confidentiality issues attached if they do.

It would never ever ever happen.

Client confidentiality is sacrosant. No exceptions.
