Heading to Salou next month with the other half.. Any advice on what to do apart from the clichéd portaventura theme park? Anyone been to the House of Illusions? Staying in Las Vegas Hotel.

My godmother is a travel agent and she recommended that I stay in the best san diego hotel or Las Vegas Hotel.. The former being a 3 star and the latter being a 4 star.. there is little difference between the price.. I paid €380 which includes breakfast.. I'm only staying for 5 days so the hotel won't be that big of a factor for us.. She also referred to to Internation II if you're on a tight budget.. Hope this helps!

I was there a few years ago, very little to do around there besides go drinking in The Danny Boy

Was in Salou last year and you can't go wrong with Las Vegas hotel. Good location, only thing is they charge for use of fridge and safe in the room.

Bus journey is about 2 hours to Barcelona where you have the Nou Camp etc. Aquapolis is a nice waterpark too.

    Enoy your trip.

:( planned for salou this year but had some financial issues so most likely it will be cancelled . Saw this thread and feel like going ahead with the plan

Also had Las Vegas hotel in mind . Any other cheap alternatives anyone can suggest ? First time to Spain so want to cover Barcelona as well. Should I stay there for a day or two or just take a day trip . Will be having our 4 yr boy with us so not sure it will be too hectic
