Slating a 22 degrees roof

Hi, can anybody who knows advise me if I can replace tiles on my 35 year old house with slates. The roof pitch is 22 degrees. I am concerned about wind blowing the rain back up the slates and causing internal leaks. Any advice would be great

Contact the tech department of the slate supplier, they will give you an installation specification for your slope and building location.
You should change your underlay and battens at this time to the upgraded spec.
Non ferrous fixings throughout is mandatory now. Beware of roofers saying galv nails are ok.

Is it a dormer bungalow , ie do you have a habitable space on the attic/roof?

'Exposure' is the manufacturers get out clause with a low degree slate failing. Beware
