    Looking for some advice with online dating. What's the expectation....

    Is it ok for girls to contact guys or is that a big no no?

    Don't seem to be having any luck...on one website a month and no success never mind a meet up. Would appreciate bit of advice.

    Why in the name of eff would it be a no-no for girls to contact guys? I much prefer it sometimes. Do it.

    There's an online dating forum here, it's private so you have to apply for access. Links in the Ladies Lounge and the Gentlemens Club forums.

    You need to have over 50 posts i think.

    OP, there are no rules. Girls mail guys and guys mail girls. If you see someone's profile you like then drop them a mail. Dont just mail them "hi". Say something about their profile or interests. Say something to get the conversation going.

    And don't come on too strong either. I met my gf through POF and one time I got this message from some girl bluntly saying that she wanted children and was looking for the right man! WTF! Run a mile type stuff! It seemed a generic scatter gun type thing she was sending to fellas.
    I responded but with the intent of giving her some constructive criticism on her messaging strategy.
