Hello all.I got a brand new central heating system installed 6 months ago.
It was installed by an RGI sub contactor through a main contractor who was doing building work. The boiler is an Ideal combii gas.

A few weeks ago I started to notice an eggy/sulphory smell from the boiler when the hot water is running but not when the central heating is running.
I have a carbon monoxide detector alongside it.I did a bit of googling where it said that there could be a bacteria build up on boiler. Before I call bord gais out any thoughts.

    Thanks in advance.

Paranoia is a beautiful thing, so I would leave the boiler switched off, turn the gas off at the meter then phone board Gais to check For any gas leak.

After I would phone the boiler manufacturers to get the boiler checked by a warranty engineer.
