Can anyone recommend a limerick city vet that doesn't cost the earth?
We recently adopted small pet and paid to have her neutered - fine, no problem with the cost of that.
But she recently had a sick tummy and just wasn't herself so I took her to the vet. They wanted to keep her overnight - again, no problem with that if in best interests of the animal. But upon collection I was handed a bill for €120!! I nearly fell down!
Just to be clear, there was no actual treatment administered - they monitered her overnight and released her following morning - she was there about 15hrs. In thrilled she's ok and there was nothing serious wrong but I feel a bit taken advantage of tbh.
Can anyone recommend a good vet that won't break the bank?

Treaty Vets in Thomondgate. John Garrahy is a gentleman. I live on the other side of town, but go over there specially.

Absolutely. I have a rescue cat and when I got him first he was very nervous around people, but when I took him over to John, he went to him no problem. Definitely really cares about the animals and isn't just 'in it for the money'.

Is anyone know if there's specialist in small pets around town? Vets know a lot about cats or dogs, but with guinea pigs they are kinda lost... sometimes. Thanks in advance.

    try these guys ..... http://treatyveterinaryclinic.goldenpages.ie/

give them a call ..... they neutered 3 cats for me ..... two of them were female and I asked them to keep them over night as the female operation is a lot more severe ..... I don't rem them charging me extra for the night

Ive always found all of the staff friendly and helpful over the years ..... they also have their own car park ..... a big deal in limerick

I think I went there one time when I lived in Caherdavin, just for a check up with my piggy. Thanks :)

Is there anywhere that offers a clinic service instead of having to visit a vet?
My pup suffers with his ears & instead of having to pay full whack to the Vet each time for him to clean them out & pluck a few hairs is there anywhere that offers a 5 minute clinic?
    Thanks
