Should a GP re-issue a referral?

Probably a silly question... but I get a referral from my GP about a year ago to see a dermatologist about an issue they were stumped with.

It wasn't life threatening or anything so I put it on the long finger, was busy, no time etc., etc. and now it's a year later I want to get the issue sorted.

Can't find the referral letter though... and even if I could, is it still valid? Do I have to go back to my GP and pay €60 just to get another letter?

Is this for a private referral? You could ask the GP secretary for a copy of the previous letter, GP might be happy to reissue without another review.

Yep suppose no harm to ask! Pretty sure it was for private referral.
