UPC Ubee router 100Mb speed work around

    This may have been covered elsewhere, if so ignore.

    I was getting <40Mb/s from my UPC Ubee cable modem router when using 10/100Mb/s devices. When I ran these devices from a Gigabit switch which was connected to the Ubee the speed improved to about 90 Mbit on my old laptop, a Homeplug device in the garage went from 25 Mbit to 35 Mbit.

    It's really only working around the deficiencies of the Ubee, useful if you have a gigabit switch (€25-€30) lying about doing nothing, which I had.
