Any tax credits after having a baby?

    Hello,
sorry for the question, I have searched revenue but cannot find an answer.

I have just returned to work after being on maternity leave, my tax credits have been reduced by 920.02 for maternity benefit. Total Net tax credits now at: 2,379.98

Are there any additional tax credits applicable after having a baby? (She is healthy, we are a co-habiting couple, she attends childminder 5 days a week).
We have a mortgage, do not qualify for mortgage interest relief, purchased in Dec 2014.

My net pay is reduced by about 30euros a week which is a significant drop with our current commitments.

Any advice or direction appreciated, many thanks!

no, but the children's allowance is fairly generous.

As a follow up - the reduction in tax credits re maternity benefit. I presume this is for this tax year and come Jan 2016 this will be removed?

There is no reduction of tax credits for maternity benefit, your tax credits were used while on maternity benefit. There will be a fresh set of tax credits in the new year.
