I hit the same issue as well -

Still havn't heard on any available Lapua. Found Fiocci Subs very good, extremely consistent on the chronograph and grouping very well. Worth a try at half the cost of the lapua.

    Hi,

Out of interest, what guns are each of you using this ammunition with ?

Also, am I correct in thinking that as we're talking about subs, that there is also a moderator in use with the gun ?

I think it's well established at this stage, that certain types of ammunition work better with certain makes & models of gun (infact, it's possibly even down to the individual gun, but a decent rule of thumb based on the experince of others using the same equipment ain't a bad place to start).

    Thanks.

    Thanks,

    G.

I Find the Fiocci .22 subs brilliant. I bought 1000 of them, delivered for €110.

yes you are right, its subs, with mod,the lapua grouped very well in my cz 455,this gun is new,and only had a box of lapua to try against eley, winchester, cci, fiochi, the lapuas out grouped them all in my gun, almost hole in hole at 50 yards,i know they may be a bit more expensive, bot id pay no problem for a bulk lot;)

Where do you mail order the ammo. ? I've been searching for .22 shorts for a while now - not sure if they are even made anymore.

Eley subs are hard to find,

100gr federal .243 are outta stock in a few places i tried for at least a month, irishshooting sports had them for 25, they jumped to 28, now when he gets them back in they'll be 20% more expensive again.
