What benefit should i claim?

    Hi,i'm 19 and have been on the jsa since i finished college and i have no prsi stamps.I have been ill latlely and was in hospital for a month.I wont be able to work for a few more months i cant go back to jsa.What should i claim? I have some stamps from a Tus job i had but i dont think they will allow me to claim Illness Benefit.What should i claim in this case.
    Any help appreciated.

    you can claim disability benefit or allowance if you will be out for more than a year. You are quite young to be going down this route. if you have no stamps you can go to your local community welfare officer, do you live at home this can have an impact on your payment. If you can stay on the payment you are on I would think about it. It's not that easy sometimes to move. Check your situation out first. If you are on supplementary welfare allowance and then decide to go back to college you may not qualify. Lots to think about.
