I like software and the whole Silicon Valley scene so I wanted to study CS next year. However, people are telling me that based on my grades (mid 500s) I should do electrical/electronic engineering. Is EE more respected? Are they similar? What would be the advantages of doin EE as opposed to CS?

It's meant to be hardware and software related , where as CS degree is mainly software and IT. EE is meant to be more challenging on the maths and physics side.

    Have to ever tried coding?
Do you enjoy maths and physics?

you are the only person who can make this decision.
