    hi,

I have just over 100,000 km on the clock of my 1.6 2011 golf it is due a service should the timing belt be done at this stage too. I was thinking of trading in January but now if it needs a timing belt I might just trade it in July. Has anyone any advice on timing belt.

    Thanks

I think every 60000km or 4 years. You need to doublecheck that though.

4 years or 130,000 miles in the UK. In Germany they only specify mileage and not time AFAIK

    5 years or 240,000km.

Most of the time the water pumps start leaking long before the mileage is reached however which leads to the belt change being done early.

Either way your car is fine for the moment OP.
