Shamelessly taken straight from HUKD, but see here:

Looks to be a very good price cut on a very good brand. Still some stock around the place too, see below:

Feckit, would've bought 2 of these had there been any left in Dublin. Only seeing this great deal now :(

    Why would you buy two?

Lol. I like to use one vacuum and then go over it again with the second vacuum to get an extra good clean. Lol.

Just joking. My mum has a Miele which was fantastic and hers just broke last week (not the vacuums fault). So I would've like to have surprised her with a new one aswell. Think she paid like 400 or something for hers!

    Ratings aren't great.

    Carpet pick up rating: D.
Hard floor pick up rating: C.
    Overall energy rating: D.
    Total emissions: B.
    dB80 noise level.

If it didn't have the brand name, it wouldn't get a second look IMHO.

    Hey Soarer,
    Those ratings are pretty informative.

    Where'd you get them?
Was it a subscription site like Which?
Wouldn't mind having access to info like that with new purchases on the horizon.

    Thanks
    Vida

I bought this, and its is a great vacuum.
Very well built and fantastic suction off it. On full power it is actually hard to push it back and forward over carpet.

I know its not a Miele, but I got this one a couple of weeks ago and have found it fantastic so far

    http://checkargos.com/StockCheckPage.php?productId=359%2F7297

The "turbo brush" head is excellent for picking up dog hair from carpets or rugs, It takes a little bit of time to do it but results are fantastic. Just be aware you need to hold it by the head or you'll break the connector.

Dont bother with the additional accessories pack I would say.

Will be interesting to see how well it lasts, but very happy so far.

Not overly impressed by Miele TBH, we had one, it lasted about a year and then the motor burnt out. It's cheaper, no-brand replacement is still going strong.

€99.99 down from €209.99 sounds great until you read the small print
"Please note item 3597297 has previously been on sale at €79.99."

That is a different number than the one in the original post . The correct number is 359/6951 . Which previously been on sale at 214.99 euro. Maybe that should be amended, in case it puts people off. That's what I'm seeing anyways. Hope I'm right I have one ordered for collection!

My post was in reference to the alternative mentioned - not the OP

Did you bring that to the attention of Miele?

Their units are built to last a lot longer than twelve months.

According to their website they are "Tested for the equivalent of 20 years' use"

    http://www.miele.ie/domestic/vacuum-cleaners-1776.htm

If I was after buying one and it broke down after a year or two I would be on to Miele to do something about it. They have a great reputation and wouldn't want it damaged by the motor burning out after a year.

Get yourself a Henry or George, the Neumatic range is great. Never had a Meile but have heard there also excellent.

Bit stunned by the ratings might be selling them off cheap, aren't new EU laws coming into play? Vacuums over a 1000watts to be banned across EU. Read that before on boards !

There are a few more avaliable now! It must be from peiple not picking up reservations. Yay. I've just reserved in Sligo. I also reserved 2 in tullamore that I won't pick up now as can get the mother to pick up from the Sligo store. So there will be 2 more avaliable in tullamore shortly. Or I can give the reservation code of anyone wants it...

Got the one at link below, bit dearer but better energy rating and better performance on hardfloors. Have to day suction is great with different settings for upholstery, carpets, hardfloors etc Also not as loud as my old vax.

I bought this vacuum a week or two ago. Was concerned about the ratings too but when I looked into it, a website said many of the 'A' rated ones were worse then the C and D ones. Think it was on the Which? website or something similar.

Anyway have used it a couple of times and it seems pretty good, especially for the price.

They all seem to be yellow. You can get different colours on Amazon but they cost a lot more if I remember correctly.

It's loud on full power but what would ya expect?

Bought this before even seeing it on bargain alerts as was looking for a hoover for a while. As expected from a Miele its fantastic and especially at that price. Any other brand of hoover my parents had broke within a year and the suction on them was not great at all. Then they got a Miele in a harvey norman sale and its an absolutely massive difference. It was a 2200w one and an older model as all the ones out at the moments are C1, C2, C3 etc and lower wattage.

If there are still some available, definitely buy one.
