Off from college for the summer and every retail job requires experience but how can you get experience if you can't get a job?
Anybody else think this is a bit of a vicious circle?

I know employers can look for it because the unemployment rates but still

I'm doing a cs degree in Dublin and some places that sells phone / pc or repairs them or something like that would be great but
If your an employer who employing somebody for retail, what you looking for in a cover letter/cv beside work experience .

If you are an employer and your are hiring , send us a pm there yea, sound :pac:

If I was hiring I'd bin your cv for spelling mistakes : )

Seriously though if you've never had a job get a job any job. Once you have a job you can jump into a different job easily.
Most jobs suitable for you are probably starting in retail so if you can't get into the fancy technology store try mc Donald's, then once your with mc Donald's then go back and try the store you want.
Phone shops are always hiring part time, try Voda, 3 etc

Haha. Can't say my spelling is the best, but I'm on my phone atm
I'm currently employed but its very irregular work.
Done a few months in mc Donald's a while ago , but it was a new store that hired way to many people and was let go.

You can get retail experience through volunteering in a charity shop, you don't need to work do many days one a week or as many times as you want.

Ok you have a job, good start.

Don't say what your said about mc Donald's to an employer, it reads they took on loads of people and let the crap ones go namely me. Instead a little white lie never hurt. You left me Donald's, you enjoyed working in the team, meeting the general pubic but it was a 0 hours contract and to many irregular hours. Your looking for something with X hours but are flexible but not to the point of 0.
