    Hi i own an 09 mk 3 berlingo.
    anyway the promblem is i do alot of driveing in fields and bad roads do a bit of farming see. I recently put it up on a lift and noticed there is a small black boxunder the the drivers side of the van with two pipes runing from the diesel tank to it this is damaged can someone tell me what this is/does and is it important to replace ? Thanks for the help

    My guess this is the additive for the diesel.
    Each time you fill it gives a shot into te tank that is supposed to help keep the DPF clean.

    Eolys fluid it's called.

    The 2009 berlingos don't have dpfs so it isn't the additive tank...Maybe post up a pic of it and we might have a better idea..;)

    Up to 2012/2013 they don't have but the newer vans may do...:confused:

    From 2011 all of these vans had dpf's fitted along with the additive tank which contains eloys fluid which is injected into the fuel tank.
    Cars fitted with ad-blue systems inject the ad blue fluid into the exhaust system to reduce the nox emissions.
