    Hi all,

Wondering what is the paint masonry paint out there. Gonna do the house this summer and am happy to get whatever paint is needed to do the best job. But need to chose this before colours.

What is the best masonry paint to use?

    - weathershield
    - colour trend
    - farrow and ball
    - sandtex
    - dulux trade
    - glidden?

    Thank you.

Guy who painted mine last summer recommended Weather Shield, although he said that Fleetwood also do good exterior paint.

    Told to avoid Sandtex.

    Can't speak for others.

Personally i dont think theres much between the 3 above mentioned, but if had to pick i would use the Sandtex over the weathershield, used it when i 1st painted the house and had no problems with it, color lasted a good while which is what you want, used weathershield on the front 2nd time around and the color has faded quite a bit.

Sandtex is an excellent paint, similar spec sheets to weathershield but a lot cheaper.

Weathershield is like jelly, don't find it great to use since they changed the formula.

I used sandtex for the first time a few months ago. Found it excellent. Went on easily and good coverage from it.

Colour trend would be the best imo

Thanks for the tip. Will use Sandtex when I do painting next time, instead of weathershield.

I would also agree with this.
