How to format two pictures

Hi guys. Not sure if this is the right area. But I need to format two pictures fro a website. They say the pictures need to be: The image format should be square 600px x 600px (21cm x21cm), 72dpi. It can be either RGB or CMYK colour. can anyone help with this? thanks

Do you have any image editing software? GIMP is a reasonably good free option.
