Taking action as a result of injury

    Hi all,
Just looking for some advice on a situation. Today I was out at one of the zipit facilities which involves ziplining and climbing up among the tree tops. Each venue has a number of courses and the course which I was on required you to do a sort of base jump from about twenty mentres down to a landing area. When you do this jump you are secured by a seatbelt type mechanism which tightens the further you fall and lowers you quite gently towards the end, but you do fall quite fast at the beginning .
Anyway when I jumped and the mechanism kicked in it swung me straight into the tree which I was after jumping off, and my arm~ shoulder area took quite a hit. All the skin is torn and black and blue and I've severe pain in my arm, elbow and shoulder . I'm just wondering is there any point in pursuing anything on this? The tree should blatantly have been padded at the point where I hit, and numerous other trees around the course are padded.
Normally not a person who'd pursue this, but the manager was highly ignorant and dismissive towards me when I reported it afterwards. Any advice would be great!

Did you sign a waiver before you set off? They're pretty common for outdoor activities.

I'd recommend weighing up whether to see your doctor, as regards your injuries. After that, if you still feel like taking any kind of legal action, maybe go and see your solicitor next week, after you have been put in the picture WRT your injury.
