A reluctant sale of my trusty Giant Escape 1 hybrid . Would love to keep it but need the funds & space in the shed for a new arrival.

Alu frame with a carbon fork, this is an epic commuter bike - quick & sturdy and very nimble. Frame is an M - I'm 5' 11" and it fits me perfectly. It's a 2013 model that was bought at the end of 2012. Full spec here.

Always well maintained & looked after, it was recently serviced with new chain, cassette, all new cables and green Swissstop pads front and rear. Tyres are 28mm Conti GP 4 Seasons. Selling with full mudguards & a Giant rear pannier rack. Also fitted are Giant Connect Ergo Max Plus Lock-On handlebar grips (same as the ones on the giant Rapid). Bike has Shimano M324 combo pedals (SPDs on one side/flats on the other) fitted but also have the original flats that came with it.

The bike is perfect with just a couple of small scuffs on the frame and some marks where the gear cables rub the top of the forks.

Looking for €380 for this prime example of commuting perfection. Can be viewed in Dublin 1 during the week (8 to 5) or Dublin 13 outside of that.

PS: The saddle bag & lights are not included in the sale. Will leave the Tacx bottle cage on it though.

PPS: Please excuse the state of my rockery.

    Hi
I'm on the lookout for a cheap commenter bike, my budget is a little lower however but I'd like to offer 275 for your bike if still available and you were open to getting it a good home.

    Hi shaydy,
Thanks for the offer, however I'd be looking for a lot closer to the asking price. I do want to see it go to a good home but it's a great bike and well-specced so would be looking for more. €350 would be my absolute bottom line on this.

    Thanks

Mods - pls lock this thread. I am going to stick it up elsewhere where there might be more interest.

    Thanks.
