"Unfortunately, Camera Has Stopped"

    Hi guys,

I have an Acer tablet since Christmas which has been great and no trouble at all until today.

When trying to use the camera, I get an "unfortunately, Camera has stopped" message.

Searching online, I see a few others have had this issue which gets solved by a clearing of the data and/or cache in the app settings and restarting the device, which I have done but with no luck.

Everything is up to date, all apps have been cleared, data and cache has been cleared, it has been turned on/off and restarted numerous times and still the issue doesn't seem to want to resolve itself.

Does anyone have any other hints or tips before I throw it out the window in frustration please? :pac:

Remove it and reinstall? Or try another camera app first also, google camera or whatever.

    Thanks mate.

Tried disabling the original camera app and downloading Google Camera but ultimately with the same result unfortunately. Google Camera loads up but says "can't connect to the camera" when I try to take a picture or anything.

I've also tried HD Camera Ultra with the same result.

Interestingly (or perhaps not) the camera is always front-facing and upside down on each camera app that I have tried upon loading initially, but if I try to flip it I get the "camera has stopped" message on all camera apps I've tried.

Hardware fault so maybe? Fixing x app has stopped warnings doesn't go beyond what I suggested for myself unfortunately so not sure what else to say.

I think that's probably what it is mate. Only thing left to try is a factory reset but I'm not too confident. Thanks for your suggestions, I appreciate the help.
