I'm shopping around for a new laptop for general use plus a little photo editing (Photoshop Elements)

I want a full HD screen 15.6" display.

I narrowed my search today to these four laptops in PC World, plus one Dell machine:

Any opinions/advice as to which brand might be best in terms of reliability, value, quality of parts etc.

Thanks in advance for any info etc.

    Lenovo Z5070:

    Intel Core i5 421OU
    8GB memory
    1TB SSHD
    Nvidia GeForce 820M
    €719

    HP Envy 15" touchscreen

    Intel Core i5 4200m
    4GB memory
    1TB HD
    Nvidia 2GB GT840
    €679

    Acer Aspire V3-572PG

    Intel Core i5 5200U
    8GB Memory
    1TB HD
    Nvidia 2GB 840M Graphics card
    €849.99

    Toshiba Satellite S50-B-15N
    Intel Core i552OOU
    8GB Memory
1TB HDD + 8GB SSD Solid State Hybrid Drive
    AMD Radeon R7 Graphics
    €849.99

    Dell Inspiron 15 5000-Series (Intel®)

    8GB Dual Channel DDR3L 1600MHz (4GBx2)

From a pure spec point of view, the HP is the best value for money for what you're getting - fastest processor, and a decent graphics card. It only has 4GB ram but that's easily upgraded to 8. Behind that I would take the Dell.

Make sure you google each of them to find out more on battery life, weight, etc.

I've owned a Toshiba Satellite in the past, must say they are very robust and have good battery life. The HP however is good value for money.

Are You aware that photo editing the most important thing is screen, and You don't even consider screen spec.

All the ones I selected are full HD, 1920 x 1080. Are there other considerations?

I really don't need a higher HD display, I have a large Dell desktop monitor of 1920x1200 res and I find it sufficient for my editing needs.

He's probably on about coolur reproduction. Not overly important unless you're editing for commercial printing.
